I've tried to play anno 1404 under wine.
the game starts and the intro/menu sounds are playing, but I've got blackscreen only (the ingame cursur is visible and movable).

Any ideas how to fix it?

ok, problem solved ;)

The Porting Kit from paullthetall.com added the gog version of anno 1404 and venice, so you're able to install and play it flawlessly.
