I bought the german version here on GOG. After playing the game one hour, the game always crashes to desktop. Im playing on Win7 and the Errormessages indicate a Copy Protection problem...

Does anyboby knows how to solve this?

Edit:
After reinstalling the game I´ve noticed a slight difference. Now the game version (MT 2.03) is displayed on thr title screen. If I remember correct, this indicates whetther or not the weird copy protection is active and making the game unplayable...
I will make another post here if the version number disapears again.

Here is how I solved the problem with activation on my Windows 10 x64:

1. Download the installation files for GoG.
(You can find the option in your GoG client Anno 1701 -> More -> Backups & goodies)
2. After the download is complete go to the folder where the installation files are. (expl. G:\games\GOG Galaxy\Games\Anno 1701 AD\!Downloads)
3. Right click on setup_anno_1701_2.0.0.4 and select Properties.
4. There select Comparability tab.
5. Under Compatibility mode select the checkbox "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows 7 from the drop-down menu.
6. Select the checkbox "Run this program as an administrator".
7. Select Apply and Run the Installer.

That has to do it.
Start the game and look for the games version in the lower right corner (expl. MT 2.03)

After purchasing Anno 1701 from Gog and installing it, I find the feature for loading user-created maps is disabled. Anybody know how to fix this?
