Most of the time the main character just floats across the floor with no animations. Is there a way to fix this?

The game breaks if it renders too many frames per second. Forcing Vertical Synchronisation (60fps) is enough to fix it on most computers, but I had to disable Intel SpeedStep as well on another computer in the past.
