Perhaps I just don't remember how well the quest log functioned in past playthroughs, but so far, it seems as though the quest log isn't really updating.

First, there's no visual difference between normal & expanded views for it.

I just got past the bit where you have to follow Lucko Coldwolf, and realized the quest log never mentioned him at all. It still just says that I have to talk to K'Conrad (which I've done already and he's flown away), and figure out where Eddie is (the Lucko quest just told me, along with getting something "chewy".. which I thought the quest log mentioned in previous playthroughs.. but it's still showing the generic bit about figuring out where he is/who he is.

Everytime the screen flashes with Fatima's image in the bottom-right (to hit F1 for the quest update) ? I check it out, and nothing is added or changed.

I'm almost positive this is bugged, but I can't trust my memory 100% and haven't found any references to this problem anywhere else.

Anyone have any clues?

I have a sinking feeling no one is really reading this forum these days...

... but I found some "Let's Play" videos for this game and have seen that yes, in fact, the quest log is supposed to be updating with the information I thought was missing.. and so far, the game continues to not update my quest log at ALL beyond the first few quests... I've never seen this before, and still can't find another single reference to this bug on the internet anywhere..

I would say its buggy, too, but eventually I just told myself that Fatima was reminding me to check my goals to keep the big picture in mind.

I do not know of any patches or mods that specifically address this.

I know OP's post was from March 2018, and the last reply in this thread was from August 2020. But hopefully, this helps someone out in the future with this issue.

I fixed the quest log still telling you to talk to K'Conrad by doing the following:

1. alt + shift + f10 to turn on the debug console (if you haven't already manually edited the config)
2. press the tilde ` key to open the console
3. type the command:

extern "complete_quest ''Talk to Conrad''"

Note: it's an opening double quotation mark before complete, and two single quotation marks around Talk to Conrad, then a closing double quotation mark immediately after the second set of two single quotation marks.

Hit tilde again to close the console, F1 to verify the quest is cleared, then you can alt + shift + f10 to disable debug mode.
