I keep getting an error called 'Entry Point Not Found' when I start up my game. It say's this:

"The procedure entry point_AIL_set_sample_pan@8 could not be located in the dynamic link library mss32.dll."

Than the game crashes.


Can anyone help me with this?

I'm not sure, but usually when I see .dll errors I advise people to install DirectX 9.0c. This is a legacy version that will NOT overwrite your newer DirectX10 or DirectX11, but it's required to run most older games. You can download directly from Microsoft here:

Just an update.


I've gotten the game to work on windows 7 64x by setting the .exe into compatibility mode (Windows XP Service Pack 3) and checking off 'Run as Administrator'.

Anyone running into this in 2022 it seems to be because the GoG version of a game does not work with windows XP even with offline installer; specifically games that worked with Windows XP when they released outside of GoG. So DO NOT buy the following games from GoG as they WILL NOT WORK on Windows XP:

Tomb Raider 2013
Deus Ex Human Revolution.
