I'm ready to meet Detta for the final showdown, but I can't get to his fortress. When I go to the platform area to purchase a ticket for One Gate, the One Gate option is greyed out (Anyone but Boots can buy a ticket). My only choices are Sender Station and Exit.

I have about 5500 loonies on me to buy the tickets soooo: Do I have enough money?, Is there a particular quest I NEED to do?, A particular ITEM I NEED to have? A certain skill level for members of my party?

This is driving me nuts or is this just a bug in the game? Thanks in advance for your time.

I found an acceptable work-around. I had to enable cheats mode by using a text editor to edit the ''default.cfg'' file in the ''\anachronox\anoxdata\configs\'' folder. Change the ''set debug 0'' entry to ''set debug 1'' to enable debug mode. When the game begins, debug messages will appear. Press ~ to display the console window, then type ''invoke 1:86'' to unlock the cheat menu.

After "invoke 1:86", use the tilde key "~" again and type "map onegate" (without the quotes), this took me to One Gate so now I am on my way to complete the ending with Detta.

As a side note, there are help guides on the 'Net that list all of the maps in Anachronox, but manually jumping to an area CAN and WILL impact the gameplay. I was OK because I was ready to end the game anyway, but could not get to One Gate via normal gameplay. Unless anyone can comment that I needed to have an item or do a specific quest, I'm chalking-it-up to a game bug.

When I got to this point, it wouldn't work for Boots or Pal. Demopcratus was able to get it. I think it was 3000-9000 credits. I had something like 12,000 on me at the time.

And btw you'll know when it's time to go to Detta's Fortress.

EDIT: I just reloaded a save-game. It says this in Goals when you press F1:
If you're confident you're ready, head to Anachronox Tours and buy tickets to OneGate Station. The rest of the party will be waiting for you at Detta's Fortress deep in OneGate.

It it doesn't say that then you can't go there. The game is fairly linear, so getting there means following the plot.

There's supposed to be a way to quickly beat the game. Did you do that?
