I go to door A and click on it to open and all I get is "Seems Interesting". I've got the lead from the bar and I've exhausted the dialogue with Frank. So what gives?

You still have to lockpick the door.

With Sly Boots, use CTRL + left mouse click to enter the lockpicking minigame.
