SentimentalWoosh: It was a pre-order discount. The game is out now so the discount is gone. Sorry.
kmanitou: Oh, buy before anything is known about it, I guess. I haven't seen that in a while.
Something like thirteen million people pre-ordered C-Punk 2077, CDPR reports. Out of that, I have no idea how many refunds have been issued. Pre-orders are very common today, for reasons I cannot fathom...;) However, this particular pre-order was better than most pre-order offerings because it actually rewarded the customer with a 10% discount for pre-ordering! That's what you don't see very often--which also boggles the mind.
I would do a lot more pre-ordering if the publisher would reward me with 30%-50% discounts for doing so! Then I'd have a logical reason to pre-order. This stuff of people pre-ordering at 0% discounts is baffling--it isn't like there are a certain number of game copies that can be sold and after that mark is hit there won't be any more copies available for a good while...;)
