hey all,
debating here with myself whether i should buy amerzone or not while it's on sale.
see, the thing is i never liked Myst or its clones. It's not the 1st person perspective that throws me off, but rather the lonely experience. The endless mechanical puzzles are also not my cup of tea. Monkey Island is what I grew up on. But, being an adventure fan, I like Sokal. I dug both Syberias. So, will I like it? Should I get it, or wait out for something else?
I'd appreciate any feedback
Hate to be a disappointment then, but you probably won't like Amerzone, for the reasons you listed above.

The game has far more in common with Myst than it does with Syberia. There are very few characters you interact with, and those interactions are limited to one or two brief cutscenes per person.

Thanks for the reply! I'll save my dollars for another game then

It's actually kind of funny; about half of the people you talk to die within minutes of you meeting them. Probably just coincidence... *whistles*
