Hi !

I have a few questions about the gameplay of American Conquest:

1. Sometimes there is a strange symbol in the upper left corner of the screen that looks like some kind of wooden door...what does it mean ?

2. Stand Guardsometimes does not work, the same happens for "Not Engage"...it looks like units without a officer (even if in formation) ignor my orders or attack as soon as they get attacked. What are the mechanics behind this ?

3. I played a mission with the USA and had some Fusiliers at the beginning but was only able to build Helbard guys...what do i need to do to build better units like those Fusiliers ?

4. What does the difficult setting do ? Just more enemys or better AI ?

Thanks for your hep !

1.: You are near your population limit, or you already reached it (when it's glowing).
2.: Units should follow your orders. But they'll of course attack when they get hit by an enemie. Would you keep staying around if someone attacks you?
3.: No clue... You'll probably need several buildungs. try it out ;)
4.: I'm not sure, but in Cossacks, the enemie's units and buildings had a lower contrustion time at higher levels. And the KI created bigger armies, they built their base much faster and alot stronger than the easy- or normal-ki. Cossacks is very similar to American Conquest. I bet, the difficult-setting does the same in American Conquest. You may try it out :)
