Hello,

I just recently got American Conquest on GOG and everything was working just fine; the intro video worked and the menu worked. However, as I decided to start a new game, as soon as it started it all froze. I tried restarting the program to see if there was maybe a problem with that....nope. I even tried to get on the Editor portion and it froze the same way... I was wondering if it was a resolution problem of some sort or is it that I have Windows 10?

Do you have DirectPlay enabled?

i may have found a solution
in the gamefolder there is a file named "cossacks" with registryentry as filetype
run it once and restart you pc
on my Computer it worked then fine
