Honestly it would indeed be nice if GOG keys were offered by Humble Bundle and the like.

Humble does from time to time. Humble also sells other DRM games which don't have a pre-installer launcher like GOG's from time to time. You just download the .zip or .exe.

Gog also has keys, too few devs use that feature unfortunately.
