I know its a long shot. But in the past GOG would occasionally grant licenses to very specific games if you owned it on Steam. A neat way to buff up your GOG library. I would love to see something like that here, because I have the Steam version, and would like to try this improved version, but I dunno if I wanna re-buy the game. Just hoping for something like that in the future.

the gog staff say that it took them 18 months to get the license , source code etc. Obviously don't expect them to give the game away for free. Probably you might see a bigger discount after 1 or 2 years.

This game is well worth on GOG.
It is so much cleaner, compatible with Windows 10/11.
Full controller support.

GOG Connect (which is the transfer thing you're talking about) isn't a thing anymore.

I'm guessing you're fine with the Steam version more or less, but maybe when the GOG version reaches deeper discounts, you'll find it worth rebuying here. shrug
