I've been playing this game and I just got to the part where you encounter the Data Hack tutorial which appears to be bugged, simply refusing to recognize even entirely correct inputs. I place the data string over the correct response, press spacebar, and the string moves down one step thus registering a wrong input.

There are probably better words to describe it, but my brain isn't working too well right now. It is intensively frustrating. Anyway, the hacking minigame isn't working for me, does anybody have any suggestions for how to fix it or bypass it?
The game appears to behave differently on different systems. I switched to another computer, and suddenly the data hack minigame worked fine. I hope that it will continue working fine when I go back to using the former, much more powerful, computer.
Okay, so another attempt has shown that Data Hack in general appears to be impossible to complete on my main computer, but works on other machines. I have no idea why, and being unable to play this game at home is pretty frustrating.

Maybe it would help if you reported this to gog support with your specs of both of your computers. Since they do have the source code, if something is actually wrong they could be able to fix it if it's not something difficult to do.

...yeah, probably. How do I do that?

Also, update: returning to the second computer has shown that the bug now affects both systems, basically making the game unplayable to me.
