I have bought the game on STEAM before it was delisted.

I am interested on what specifically was fixed in the GOG version to decide if it's worh re-buying on GOG.

Thanks.

I'm more wondering if the Steam version will receive these updates?
Sure, I get not putting it back on sale on Steam, but what about current owners?

I saw some metadata updates on steamdb, but no depot changes, so my own research is inconclusive.

Since getting my Steam Deck, I 100% prefer Steam where possible. Sure, GOG games work on there, and I have a few installed, but the user experience is just so much better with native Steam games.

As far as I am concerned, Steam delisted Alpha Protocol from it store page in 2019.
Not because it was buggy, but rather regarding one licensed music track of Konstantin Brayko Boss fight in Moscow.

Now this issue has been resolved between IP-owner SEGA and publisher GOG.
I think it is fair to say of Steam let GOG have the publishing rights for the PC.

I say this as a big GOG fan and someone who wants people to support GOG as true competition to Steam:

I suspect you're probably fine with the Steam version and just applying fan patches / fixes as needed.

Achievements support
Your accomplishments will not go unnoticed, as the achievement system (previously only available on consoles) is fully implemented on GOG.

Compatibility with modern operating systems
Whether you’re playing on a modern rig or an older PC, the game will run smoothly on your operating system and adjust its default settings to match your hardware.

I never said to re-publish it on Steam. I asked if current owners will continue to receive updates. That can still happen while the game is delisted. Rocket League does this.

Lame. So if I understand correctly Steam will not make any money with this service.
What a joke.
