Agreed, the older versions were superior and "The New Nightmare" isn't perfect, yet it would be your loss not to repurchase via GOG at such a great price and replaying, perhaps in the alternate mode. ie. I realized I had never played as the female character and am enjoying this the second time around from a different vantage point and game play. Further, Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare is still WAY better than most games out there now IMHO. SO.... buy it, download it, turn off the lights and check it out. Definitely worth playing this not too oldie, but yes, goodie, adventure/action/horror game.
