First of all, don't understand me wrong, I'm glad these games are finally here (especially for that price) and I greatly appreciate the work GOG team does. But this particular release - it looks like it was made in hurry.

First of all: bad quality manuals - they are in extremely low res, so its hard to read them.
Second: the absence of newspaper for the first two games - why to put the only for third? To make it incomplete pack?
Third: no availability to download sequels through downloader (I've read that they were released as additional content for licensing reasons), but perhaps this will be no problem after new downloader is released.
And the last, but not least: no wallpapers, avatars or art. Though I know we get 3 soundtracks, but this series has one of the greatest art in-game. Why wouldn't you?..
At least we have 3 pictures for soundtracks, which also look great. =((

I've expected a bit more from this release, but still I'm thankful to the GOG team for such opportunity. We have very little Lovecraft inspired horror games.

P.S. An yeah, I know we get it for only $5.99, but I'd rather payed $9.99 for a greater package of three games of such classics.

Don't quote me on this, but from what i understand, the extras come from the people providing the game, not GOG.
I mean they give out what ever they get.
To be honest though, I'd love some concept art over the soundtrack.

I have all three games originals with complete stuff... if you want anything scanned tell me

what I don't like is the absence of AITD 1+2 with adlib music (in other words floppy disk versions)... CDDA is nice but adlib music just has this retro-feeling :D

Well it could be interesting. Could you at least scan the newspapers (even the third one if you can have better quality) and put them somewhere (rapidshare ?) for us to download ? Maybe GoG could use them and add them ?

I have uploaded 300dpi scans of the 3 newspapers compressed to JPG with 90% quality setting... my AITD3 newspaper is a different version than what GOG has... at first I thought that my newspaper was incomplete (4 pages instead of gog's 8!) but the pages are numbered so it is just a different version with different content

Woot! Thanks a lot man.

Well, looking now on some other GOG releases, I think this one is not that bad I felt at first. I mean, look at HoMM 3 - it only has soundtrack and creature tables, which is much less I'd expect for such game from GOG.

Not that I blame GOG team, just some other games have even more to them.

And these newspapers - they add pretty much of Lovecraft's feeling/atmocphere to the games...

I understand how you feel, but leaving the content issue aside, GOG packed 3 legendary games with a really easy to use interface and it all works nicely. I remeber downloading buggy games on Steam... yuck.. Steam SUCKS!
