I only bought this game for the Alone in the Dark 3 soundtrack (sad, I know), and the first track (spoken intro) appears to be in French, is there a reason for this and/or can I get the English version?

The only reason is that the game was developed in France and Frédéric Mentzen is French. Apparently they included the original soundtrack, not any of its translation. I doubt we can do anything about it...
