Hey dude! I am totaly noob and sorry for the dumb question but i can't find the way to get Carnby RUN in the game

I am playing it on OSX platform (MAC)

Just check the manual, it says to release the forward key and quickly press it again to start running. Usually with games from the early 90ies reading the manual is mandatory :-)
