I've searched the forum already for Single-player and Windowed mode issues. I read the FAQ already and for windowed mode, The FAQ post says that windowed mode exists and then points to a forum thread that says that windowed mode applies only to the launch menus, but that the main game still goes to full-screen. /sigh/ Hey FAQ author, that's not playing the game in windowed mode, so don't tell us it exists. How does this relate to single player? Basically, don't pull the same garbage in answering me about single-player.

So! Will there be a real single player integration? Will Single Player mode be finished? Right now, whatever species I pick, it loads a small level with no allies or enemies, and no way to get out. You get 2 rooms or a room and 2 hallways (haven't tried predator yet).

I did use the other executable that does not launch Galaxy. That's mentioned in single player threads. The results were the same as selecting Single player when using the executable that launches Galaxy.

I will remove the game and re-install it after checking (re-downloading) the installer. Otherwise, why is there currently "no" single-player mode? That is, why is there no game when loading single player, just an small environment? Is it just not available yet while they're demo-ing the multi-player?

Single player is finished, you just don't know where to go. You must wall-crawl as the alien to get out of the second room and as the marine you must destroy a pane of glass over a lever and pull the lever to proceed.

To start the game up in windowed mode, follow this directory: Your Drive:/GOG Games/AvP Classic. Find the file called "Launch Aliens vs Predator Classic 2000." Right-click it and go to Properties. Type in " -windowed" (without the quotes) after the last quote of target line.

Yep, that's TOTALLY embarrassing. :) Haha!

I've broken glass already a few times, but didn't recognize the lever.

For being an alien, I know you have to crouch to wall-crawl. I'll haven't figured out the crouch command on the controller yet. On the keyboard, I think it's left Control.

Thanks for the instructions :) :) :) Can't wait to try it out! :D

As far as the windowed bit goes, that's been tried and failed according to the other thread. (I'm a network admin, yes, I know how to edit command line.) See the other thread. I'll give it a swhirl myself.

THANKS

Ok, this rocks! I'm trying the alien first. Got his squat command (you might call it "crouch") so he can wall-crawl. I might end up needing a 3D map and may get motion sickness! Awesome! Windowed mode is good to go. Now I just need some some enemies to find in this maze. It's huge! Thanks again :D
