Yup, I officially admit that I'm too stupid to host a game.

I wanted to host a deathmatch, made all the choices (everything on default, but with a 10 minutes limit) and hit "start", just to find myself in the game, alone, with the timer ticking. What am I doing wrong?

You then just have to wait until other people arrive that are actually wanting to join / play a multiplayer game. I would say put more time on the clock to give people a chance to get in and start playing.

Also make sure your firewall isn't blocking incoming and outgoing connections
