So I pressed the talk button and accidentally locked myself from all control of the game. I can move my viewpoint around, but all keys get transferred to text and I am completely unable to do anything but hit enter, which merely resets the text and does nothing to remove the talk screen. I pressed every single button on the keyboard, and the only solution was to control out delete and sign out of the account to terminate the process.

I would have tried alt-tab, however, the last time that I tried alt-tabbing out of the game, my mouse cursor was frozen in the middle of the screen and everything was set to 640x480 resolution. I was also locked out of task manager as well and had to force a hard reset of the computer.

Any way to deal with these issues other than keeping my fingers away from the T and Y keys with large poles stuck into the keyboard?

Happened to me too the other day. I hit T, wanted to say something and then changed my mind and deleted everthing. Don't ask me why, but I had the idea to retype SAY and... it worked!

Thanks guys! Hopefully I can figure out the Alt-Tab issue. I might try the D3DWindower program like I had to with Summoner.
