well frist of all predators needs a nerf on many views they are as fast as aliens they can 1 hit with disc (and its auto aim secured kill) spear gun thingy fire rate is very high and its a 1 hit kill as well (i haven seen the plasma cannon in use) they are extremly tough and 1 alien stands no chance in a equal battle of skill. humans the speed is just kinda stupid allmost being able to outrun a predator as well as alien. pretty much it every thing eles about humans are fine, tho maybe a pulse rifle dmg boost (very small one tho :P) and a maximum of 2 grenades at the time. aliens pretty much the most shitty thing to play as you got a chance aginst a human if hes a bad aim or if he stands still though as soon as a human starts running you wont get them before your dead, there are a few movement problems with the alien (stairs, ridges or other things where the level of the map change quickly, aginst predators the alien is destroyed by the predator if he got any equipment and the speed makes an alien unable to catch them. this is what i have learned from 2 hours of game play, also the aliens hunting vision got no use since enemys allways highlight, and after hosting a map its seems you cant find any online ones

Learn to play ;P

Nah, honestly, Alien is fine. It just isn't meant for a direct approach. Hold ctrl pressed and climb up to the ceiling. When you see an enemy, aim, jump and hit him in his back with a charged tail attack (insta-kills Marines, almost kills Predators). THAT'S how Aliens fight.

As an Alien, you first have to learn the map! Most maps feature areas that are only accessible by Aliens (or special shortcuts that only Aliens can use). Don't forget that you don't suffer falling damage and that you can jump about 10 meters high! If a human is running after you -> flee! ...and then get him from behind ;)

Alien movement takes some time to learn. But once you got it, you'll love it.

A full-speed Alien is faster. Only "Alien is destroyed" equipment is the disk (insta-kills everyone, including other Predators). Aliens can evade the shots of other weapons (jump!).

oO ??? That's what this vision is meant for. To always highlight enemies. Imagine you're sitting at the ceiling of a complete dark room. You won't see shit, but you'll see when an enemy enters the room. That's all you need ;)

AvP isn't your everyday-shooter. Try every species for an hour or so and THEN think about how you can use the advantages of every species to make your enemies hate you. Just a little example: Most Marines won't switch to their night vision when there are just a few dark spots in a room, because light sources blind them in this vision mode. An Alien can hide in those spots! But be careful with Predators (they have a different color) and run when you use this tactic and see one of them. And be careful with experienced Marines, because they might have the idea to throw a flare at every dark spot.

The Predator is the BFG of the game. Totally unbalanced even in SP.

But the thing about the Aliens, in addition to what Geizterfah said, is that they also hunt in packs. Playing as a xeno is best done with partners.
