multiplayer worked fine for me everything loaded smoothly
From what I've played there are only a handful of issues:
1. When I'm the Alien crawling on surfaces I'll sometimes get stuck on ledges and can't crawl over them. Like stairs, if I attempt to crawl on stairs, I'll stay latched on unless I stand upright, or jump. This makes it extremely difficult to time long lunges, or escape gunfire

2. Every now and then I'll send in game messages to people and after I send my message, the type screen stays up.I can't exit it, and can't play at all, I can only type. This has only happened three times, but I have to close the game and restart it to solve it.

That's what's important, the rest is simply player problems. No one knows how to play the gametypes because there is no description unless you are the host choosing it, and that can be fixed easily. Also, I would like to see more GOG sponsored lobbies, with a control over the game. Adding options like team switching in Species DM , map rotations, and most importantly, team balancing. Can't tell you how many games I've joined being the 1 human against 5 predators
When you chat, you can accidentally delete the "SAY" part of the message. When this happens you're stuck in chat. To get out type SAY then anything (or nothing), and you'll be free. Happened to many of us. ;)

GOG won't be changing any of that, sadly, but maybe if we all express how much we love the game to Rebellion, they'll release the source code for us. A source port would allow all kinds of amazing changes like the one you described.
