Hey everyone, I just thought I'd let people know of the official custom maps for Aliens versus Predator. These maps were made by the game's developer, Rebellion Developments, and were officially released by Fox in installments. However, these maps are NOT included in the base game AVP Classic 2000. Still, I think everyone should get them, so I've included the link to them here.

The maps are: Azure, Bane, Biosphere, Bleak, Conflict, Ethereal, Fleshbox, Fossil, Jungle, Last Stand, Neon, Piranesi, Reactor, Storage, Storage XL. It also includes versions compatible for coop mode (those versions have a (c) after the name).

To install these, extract the folders "graphics" and "sound" to your Aliens versus Predator Classic folder. I believe the default directory is Your Drive:/GOG/Aliens versus Predator Classic. Extract the "custom" folder to your avp_rifs folder, which is inside your AVP Classic folder. The maps (.rif files) MUST be in a folder called "custom" inside the avp_rifs folder or else they will not work.

Edit: Make sure you do NOT use the desktop launcher. Go to your GOG/Aliens versus Predator Classic folder and find the file AvP_Classic.exe. Use this to start your game (I recommend creating a shortcut to this on your desktop). If you use the desktop launcher, your game will replace all modified files, including the custom maps.

Those are primarily for AVP2, not AVP Classic.
