did anyone tried AVP Redux mod with gog/galalaxy version ?

I haven't myself, but I noticed that a few people on the forums have tried it and they said it worked out fine.

Yup. it works fine :)
highly recomended since there are new textures and models among other improvements.

didn't test multiplayer though...

I second that, it works just fine, have not tried multiplayer.

I've tried it but the moment I start the client, it restores itself to its original version . . .

Seems using the client is a no-go with any mods.

But installing the mods, then starting from AvP_Classic.exe in the game folder, that works fine.

You have to navigate to the AvP Classic directory and run the game through AvP_Classic.exe. The Galaxy launcher re-downloads any modified files restoring it to the original version.

Running it off the exe instead of GoGaxy seems to still have a few multiplayer matches here and there.

Hmm just checked using the client and not. The multiplayer list was the same.
