I recently purchace The Nations Gold from GOG.com and I admit it is a classic masterpiece. I tried the Internet games option but as I can see it tries with no success to connect. I understand that the game is old and propably the game service is down but I take the chance and ask here in case someone knows somthing about it.

Did you happen to find a solution for it? I played this game a lot as a kid, and even now I play it sometimes. Would love to multiplayer online with friends, tried looking for dedicated servers to download (like they do with minecraft and some other games) but found nothing. Could only play it by Lan :/

Usually all you need is everyone connected to the same network (like your home wi-fi, for example).


For the rest of the Thread: never tried this myself, but maybe there's some program that let's you simulate a private network so that you can connect with friends via LAN even though you're not actualy on the same network. Like Hamachi back in the day
