I had the same problem
I did:
For NVIDIA graphics:
Navigate to NVIDIA Control Panel -> 3D Settings -> Manage 3D Settings -> Program Settings -> select the game from the list -> Set VSync to On.
Problem fix
this option you can see it on GOG solutions

Nothing works. The introductory screen saver plays, the menu starts... But when trying to start the game - black screen. Tried and in different folders to install, and change in “tools.exe” frame rate and disable “AGP”
