I was having a problem with the graphics trailing and scrambling every time I tried to scroll north in Alien Nations. I went into the graphics options and turned off the "Scroll optimization" setting. It now runs flawlessly. Just wanted to post that here since others have reported this issue and I couldn't find a solution here...
