So I bought this game as part of a date with my wife. Video Game dates rock. :)
Anyways, we have it installed, and have been trying to network play over TCP/IP. Last night, when she hosted the game, it crashed. When I hosted, it worked except that I couldn't do any research (the list to pick what you want to research wasn't populated). No research meant no lumberjacks, so eventually I ran out of materials and couldn't play anymore. I checked online, but this bug seems unique to me. This happened the next time I hosted, and the time after that. No matter what settings I tried, or what race I tried, I simply could not do research.
This morning, wanting to give it another go, we both tried hosting, and neither one of us could get to actual game without it crashing. No multiplayer fun at all. :(
I was wondering (before I go and leave a review warning people to not buy the game for multiplayer), if anyone knows of any solutions. Thanks!

Is the version of the game 2.05?
Also have you made sure any virus scanners or firewalls are not interupting the game?

If you cannot resolve the issue, try contacting GOG support here. Hope you get it working as it really is a fun game.

Same here-computer which is host always crash. Both have Windows 7 Home Premium. On one I have installed Avast free on other AVG (full version), but I approve it on both computers when firewall ask for permision.
