Nations was a very fun game to play and play it I did for a long time. It was fun setting up the entire economy and buildings to get all the work done.
I hope they will put out Nations at some point and until then i will get Alien Nations and have some fun. Who knows, it could be better than Nations.
What is this game exactly? I have never heard of it.

Well, it is similar to Cultures and The Settlers Series of games.
It is a god/city builder Sim that is to me, loads of fun.
the kind of game that is like you have to have workers to carry goods to the area to build buildings, where you need builders to construct the building, and you have to have the right person (job description wise) to occupy the building and produce the intended good.
Such as you need a Butcher to slaughter the animals to produce the needed good. But of course you need the Rancher to raise the animal first, and the so on and so on.
It is a very fun game that is heavy on city/resource management and still has a military component to it.
To be honest I wish gog was getting The Nations instead but hopefully that will come in the future.
Hope this helps.
Well, I was looking forward to this game, back when I bought it originally. Unfortunately, it had major problems with WindowsXP, and would crash whenever the game itself loaded (after the menu). No amount of patching or fiddling with compatibility settings could fix that for me, so I eventually gave up on it. Sadly, I've had major problems like that with several JoWood games. I just hope that GOG has managed to iron out all the bugs.
I'm also looking forwards to this game, I could use the change of pace from the current games I play.
Hmm, wonder when its released..
I'm looking forward to this game, though I must say, it's quickly becoming the new Waxworks :-P

I hope not. I hope for a speedy release. ;)
(but I fear the worst) ;)
I'm sure it's going to be released soon. Maybe they are working out the kinks and bugs with their modifications for it to be DRM-free. I know it sucks waiting for a game, but I would rather have them work out most of the common problems rather than having to rush the release and tarnish their own reputation.

I totally agree. I only wish they were producing The Nations instead of Alien Nations. It is the newer and I think better of the two.
Oh, I also wish they would release Submarine Titans from Strategy First.

I hear that. Aside from Shogo, every game I've gotten off of GOG has worked perfectly (except for a few issues to do with my PC's configuration).
I tried getting games off of GamersGate and Direct2Drive, and I'm already seeing stuff that won't even download correctly (Postal 2 on GG), or run for that matter (Mage Knight Apocalypse on D2D; I used to be a huge Mage Knight fan :-P ).
I saw Alien Nations go up on GG a short time ago, but I'm holding off, as I know the GOG release will likely be far more reliable.

I hope its something like that, and not that a certain amount of Jowood title sales that have to be done before it comes.
