Whenever I want to switch the menu screen the game crashes on my Win 10 PC.
It seems like it has to do something with the file Apphelp.dll.

I bought the game for my wife, an old school fan of these games. She has a Windows 8 (8.1) PC and having the same issue with the menu.
She seems to be jumping back and forth (or at least trying to) from game to menu to keep with the missions.
The menu crash sometimes goes so far as to forcing a PC reboot to be able to use the PC again. This because the games menu either stays on full screen or taking up the upper left portion of the screen and pushing anything we drag over that portion to the background.

Any help or updates on this would be much appreciated.

try using the "Escape"-button on your keyboard. This at least works for me...
