Well I bought this game awhile back for a roadtrip but I couldn't get into it, and instead invested my time playing The guild. It really seemed interesting though(From what memory serves) and I want to give it a second try. I need some adivice on how to play this game though. Any hints or tips are very much appricated.

Which game are you playing, The Nations or Alien Nations?
I have only played The Nations, but you have to get a decent economy running and then if you keep the Temples up and keep making offerings (just enough of a good to be accepted), then you will receive a blessing and keep doubling your gold.
