Yes, it seems support for portuguese is broken.
The language you chose upon installation is written to "Alien Isolation\goggame-1744178250.info" like this:

You can change the language of the game (audio+text) after installation by changing this string (to German, Spanish etc). I've tried all the languages and the only one that doesn't work is portuguese.
I've tested some other string variations like "Portuguese", "Portuguese (Brazil)" etc, but to no avail.
I suggest you report that to GOG to get this fixed and give them a link to this thread.
I don't have the nerves to talk to the chatbot...
ps: If you only want portuguese text you can use a workaround:
Go to "Alien Isolation\DATA\TEXT", rename "ENGLISH" to "ENGLISH_ORIG" (for example) and copy "PORTUGUESE" to a new folder named "ENGLISH".
