I recently completed my second playthrough on Hard difficulty. I had already played through on Novice a long time ago and unlocked most of the achievements then. On this playthrough I was hoping to unlock Survivor (for Hard mode), Archivist (I missed one Nostromo log on my first playthrough) and Self Defense (Kill 10 humans).

However, none of the achievements unlocked, which I first noticed when I had killed more than 10 humans (I offed pretty much all of them I could find ;-). Also when I picked up the missing log (it says somewhere that this stacks across playthroughs) nothing happend. I went on to backtrack through the station to collect ALL the logs but still no achievement. And then none at the end of the game... After the first problem I made savegame copies just before I should have gotten the other two achievements.

Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

I'm not sure whether this has an impact but during the whole playthrough or at least when I should have gotten the achievements, Cloud Sync failed due to heavy load. And no matter how often I restart the game, nothing happens with it. I've tried to verify/repair the installation but nothing changes.

I also own the game on Steam and I was only missing the Hard mode achievement there. I copied over the GOG savegame (at the very end) to the Steam savegame folder, played the last 20 seconds and got the achievement. So there definitively is something wrong with the GOG achievements (they have unlocked in the past though, as I have 90% of them in GOG).

And yes, it's one of my favorite games :)

Right, I'll reply to myself again since the problem was resolved. I was going to try to change my firewall settings to solve the Cloud sync problem, started GOG and noticed that it had gone away and the three achievements had all been added. So it would seem that it was due to the cloud sync problem.

I started the game to do the last two achievements I was missing and this time they unlocked properly.
