Hello there !

I've got problem with Tower Assasult. After some time my game freezes. Sometimes it happens after 5 mins, sometimes after 30 mins. Have you ever had this kind of problem and maybe you know what can I do to prevent this kind of glitch ? It's very annoying when it hapens aggain and aggain. I'm playing on Win XP Home edition so everything should be okay. Maybe its problem with DosBox ?

Does it also happen with the original Alien Breed? Are there any common situations where it happens (does it only happen in game or does it happen on the title screen as well?)

Original Alien Breed works fine (actually I played it only once for about 30 mins and nothing wrong happened). Freezes in Tower Assault happen only in game.

Seeing as I can't replicate this, my only suggestion is to go into your Alien Breed Tower Assault folder (right click on the icon and click on "Open file path" (or whatever it is in English or your language in Windows 7).

Open the file dosboxABTA.conf in Notepad and change "core=auto" under [cpu] to "core=normal" (obviously without quotes). I've heard of DOSBox throwing a fit sometimes when it tries to switch from normal emulated core to dynamic core because the CPU can't keep up.

Hm I did what you said about core mode and it works fine so far. I hope thats what was freezeing game and now my problem is gone. Thx for advice :)

I'm having the same issue here. Game runs very nicely but after 10 - 30 mins it freezes. No pattern to the crashes as far as I can figure.

I'm running it on an asus netbook, intel atom 450, windows 7 starter.

I tried editting the conf. file as suggested above, but, alas, it didn't work.

Anybody got any other ideas?
