Please help me, this is a bit of a biggie.

"The procedure entry point CreateDXGIFactory2 could not be located in the dynamic link library dxgi.dll"

This meets me when I try to launch AliceVR. After searching the internet, it turns out, that Alice has a problem with Windows 7 since the latest OSVR-update for Unreal Engine, a while ago. On Steam, this is apparently easy to get around: use the Legacy version, one setting changed in the Properties window.

But I bought this on GoG, because... DRM free.

Can anybody help me to get past this error and get Alice running?

I am experiencing the same issue.
Regarding the legacy version: it is possible to rollback the game using Galaxy. However I am trying to figure out a workaround since obviously it's just a problem with the DLL which might be fixable by switching it to a different one.
I just did a rollback to a previous version and snatched myself the files for the OSVRclient. Using those fixed the game for me. But I don't use any VR equipment so I don't know if it's an actual fix. I uploaded it here:
