I'm playing the german version of Albion, and under the village of Kounos (Land of Maini) is a cave. In this cave are holes in the ground, wich you can climb down. But my problem is, that these holes, once your were climbed down, are vanishing from the usable sight... I can see the holes on the Roof from a very large distance, but when I try to come nearer to use them, they where dissappearing. I'm not able to climb up in the cave. Fortunatly I saved before I entered the cave. But it would be very nice, to collect the treasures down there.

Anyone got the same problem? Or got a solution for this?

Just to clarify, you can't see the holes even when moving the camera up?

Yes :( I searched the whole cave and then I noticed, that the hole is moving away, if I got near it...

So you can't see the whole at all (like in the screenshot)? I've never had (or heard of) a bug like this. Did you try to change the video-setting of DOSBox (e.g. changing the Graphic Mode from Surface to DDraw)? Maybe that will help.

I can see the hole when I go backwards, but when I barely see it on the roof and can't use it, because it is too far away... when I get closer to it, it is drifting backwards, as if I would push it back. And then it disappear behind the wall and I can't even look at it then.

Bei dir steht auch Germany.. Also das Loch ist an der Decke, wenn ich von weitem schaue. Aber wenn ich darauf zu laufe geht das immer mehr nach hinten, bis es hinter der Wand verschwindet. Dann kann ich es auch gar nicht mehr zum Anklicken finden. Irgendwie schiebe ich den Sprite des Loches anscheinend rum... aber auch nur, wenn es an der Decke hängt, die Löcher auf dem Boden kann ich ganz normal betreten.

Passiert das auch, wenn Du einen früheren Spielstand lädst (bevor Du die Höhle betreten hast)? Was ist mit den Grafikeinstellungen? Hast Du schon probiert ob es hilft da etwas zu verändern? Ansonsten fällt mir nur noch eine Neuinstallation ein.

Also ich habe Albion früher gespielt und kann mich nicht an den Bug erinnern...aber ist das denn bei ALLEN Löchern so? Hast Du schon mal probiert auf eine untere Ebene zu gehen und zu schauen, ob das da auch passiert? Vielleicht ist es ja nur in dem Anfangsgebiet so.
In dem Höhlensystem gibt es meiner Erinnerung nach auch noch andere Ausgänge, man muss also nicht unbedingt über die Löcher am Anfang zurückgehen.

Also das passiert auch wenn ich nen alten Speicherstand lade und reingehe und passiert bei jedem Loch an der Decke :/ hab ein bisschen Angst was zu verstellen, wenn ich an den Einstellungen was mache, kenn mich nicht so gut mit der Dosbox aus. Ich meine die Höhle ist zum Glück nicht wichtig für die Handlung. Oder wird man da später noch mal reingeschickt?
