Sr. Chalice: Same here. It's all about a mindset/conditioning. To me, no other stores exists. So if a game aunt coming to GOG it doesn't exists for me. I'm not buying anything I don't own. Therefore I have ZERO plans in paying for DRM games. If it ain't DRM-FREE it just doesn't exists to me. The End!
That I can absolutely understand.
If it's just about DRM:
I can play most of my games on Epic without the launcher (of course I didn't try all of them, they gave hundreds of games away so far). In most cases it's enough to add "EpicPortal" to the .exe call, in The Sinking City "-epicapp=MiddleMist" has to be added.
Death Stranding works both online and offline (without launcher), but then it's not possible to (indirectly) interact with other players.
True, to download them, the launcher is needed, but it's not needed to play tham.
List on Wiki edit: In the I also got some DRM free game from Humble, but they are not much more than Steam key sellers these days.
Some good ones you can also find on zoom-platform and fireflowergames.
ps: I would love to buy Stubbs the Zombie Remake on GOG, so I can remove my Epic-Version, but the GOG Version never got the latest update and it's more than a year now. Something important? No, not at all, just an option to remove the green filter. But still the devs don't bother to update the GOG version.
