See attached pic. (Maybe spoilers...)

I don't think this truck is supposed to be here. Light doesn't kill it. If I touch it, I insta-die. After wandering for a while, Alan says I need to use the flare gun. I can shoot my 11 flares, but nothing happens. I can see a way that goes past the truck, so I assume I'm supposed to be able to walk closer, but this truck is in the way.

I don't feel like restarting the chapter, but I will if it's a bug. Tell me I can kill this truck. :(

Yes, I think that's a bug.
Played this part on sunday on my X360 and there was no truck in the way.
I mean, this is the part where you're walking towards a tornado? Near the end of the way (you have to jump over two gaps) you'll find a Flare Gun and a box of Flare Gun ammo. You need to shoot the tornado three or four times with the Flare Gun. But I think you figured as much.

Did you try to turn off the game and restart from the last checkpoint? Other than that, I'm afraid you have to restart. And it looks like this is the end of the game. :/

Thanks, Externica! The checkpoint saved after the truck appeared, so looks like I'm playing the chapter again. Maybe I'll just run past everything this time. :p

Oh Remedy, you silly silly people. :D

Edit: Truck isn't there second time around. Hooray.

There are certainly some odd enemies in this one.

I had a friend a long time ago who we called "the vicious barrel killer" because he made sure that every barrel in Diablo was destroyed. Apparently, they were were evil and out to get us or something.

This is probably one of the only games where the barrels fight back. I think he would have had a grand time.

You really should check out Bard's Tale (the newer one, from 2005 or something). The developers actually provided a convincing explanation for this barrel-bashing-hero phenomenon.
