Hello, the game uses a directx 8 wrapper from gog. the gog wrapper has an bug and the water in the game is not present. Play it on an amd 2200g with vega 8 under windows 10. if i delete the wrapper it runs with some stutters but the water is available again. does anyone else have this problem?

I did not encounter any issues with graphic display, but I admit that I'm playing on different system (Windows 8.1.) and intel processor and Nvidia graphic card, so have here quite different setup to deal with.

DId you try with the option in advanced graphic options (in-game) for water reflection? E.g. turning it off completely?

Sometimes I'm experiencing weird problems (in older games) when I'm trying to make anti-aliasing on maximum (don't know why), so maybe trying with this option (as well as anisotropic filtering) could help?

hello, my solution i deleted the directx 8 wrapper from gog and replace the d3d8.dll in the game folder with the dll from d3d8to9 v1.11.1. With d3d8to9 the water is available and the performance is great on win10 with amd vega 8.

Great to hear you've found the way to solve this!

Enjoy the game :)
Hi there, I wound up having the same issue where game runs fine fullscreen or borderless but the water textures don't show up. I tried the fix Marty1 suggested but in my case, I just get a black screen when I boot the game (though it seems to be otherwise working).

Perhaps I missed a step when swapping out the d3d8.dll file, or maybe it just doesn't work on my rig.
Hi Chillidoge, you can also use the dgvoodoo2 app with dx8. I made a video with this tweak and a Custom ReShade on my channel NeoRetroGaming on YouTube.
