Hey

I've recently purchased The AI War Collection and although the game starts fine, it announces that 2 official updates are available. But when I use the automatic updater to install them, the update window appears with the text "Arcen Updater Version 1.00" and the Arcen Games Logo, but nothing else happens. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game to no avail. In addition, the update program asks for admin status and so there can't be a permissions issue either.

Has anybody else faced this issue? Is there a solution I'm missing?

Maybe check your firewall? Or try disabling your AV for a while. ;)

Make sure you disable AVAST! if you have it installed as it tends to interfere with the game :)

I run the game in user-mode. Although it does ask you to switch to admin mode before attempting an update, this doesn't seem to work. You need to run the whole game in admin mode and then try to update for it to succeed. After this, you can play the game in user-mode as normal.

Hope this helps anybody else who runs into the issue :)

I had the same problem with the Arcen Updater popping up... but it helped me to disable Avast. ;)

Had the same problem but the updater would not start. I solved the problem by installing the game from launch ai war fleet command with the setting in the property tag on administrator and then launched the game outside of gog galaxy and the manual updater worked properlyl
