I have been trying to work through the in game tutorial as a first step before watching You Tube and using the Wiki and seem to have hit a problem with the basic military tutorial section.
I initially produce 3 ships as instructed and then move on to creating a further 5 fighters and 1 bomber but, however I do it the tutorial does not accept accept that I have completed the requirement and allow me to continue.
Maybe I have missed something important but, I just can't figure out what that might be.
I would appreciate any suggestions that will help me to continue with the tutorial.

Problem solved, I froze the production process then made the 2 selections activated the continuous production button then unfroze the process and let it continue.
Probably not quite the correct way which was the way you described but it worked.

What you did was fine! In AI War, there are sometimes multiple ways to accomplish a given task, and lots of times, it's up to you to figure out what the task should be as much as how it gets done.

Stick with the game, it's got a learning curve, but IMO it's worth getting over the hump.

So I ran into this today, yes I just got the game.
I had to Set Space Dock queue to repeat, pause it's construction, then ctrl click the fighters so that it's ready to make 5 fighters, and single click 1 bomber. Then it let me continue. I kept producing 5F 1B and had like 50 units and it still wouldn't let me advance the tutorial. Just incase someone else runs into this.
