Arcen games used to have an internal updater, is this still the case?

Because when I did the full 1.003 installer over my original install it wiped all my saves and profile.

If not, could we please have ordinary patches?

I was able to update to 1.003 without this issue. My saves and my profile were preserved. However, I think you can backup your /PlayerData directory if you are concerned about this, and restore it if it is deleted.

AI War 2 does not appear to currently have an internal updater. My guess is that they won't include this anytime soon.

There will definitely be times, though, when an update is significant enough to invalidate your old saves. I don't think Arcen will design these updates to wipe your saves or your profile, though.
