dreadreapr: guys i didnt know that attacking city behind walls is so deadly, i lost evrything only to kill one archer...
i reloaded game again, is that ok? wont happen again
*shrug* This time, I'm alright with it. This is meant to be a learning game. Speaking from personal experience though, expect to be badly surprised by things you had no idea were even a thing.
Info Dump:
-Some notes about city combat versus AI: The AI forces will crouch behind the walls until the walls are breached or they run out of ranged things to throw at attackers (checked as an army, not as individual units). I've found it is reasonably intelligent about city defense, in some cases being surprisingly smart (and not so smart in other ways).
-Also about cities: Expect two units to spend a round or two breaking through any gates. Sabotage and Wall Crushing will both speed this process up a lot, and both abilities can break through walls directly.
-As a side note: combat ends automatically after 25 rounds.
