I apologize for starting a "Can I run it thread?" but I'm having trouble determining if my laptop meets the minimum system requirements to run this game. My specs are:

AMD A8-4500M APU Quad core @ 1.9Ghz
4gig RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7640G (2gig memory)

The minimum processor requirement is:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600, 2.4 Ghz / AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+, 2.6 Ghz Processor

I'm not sure how my quad core compares to those. Can anyone help me here? Should I be able to run it? I don't care if I have to turn down settings, as long as the game isn't laggy I'll be happy.

Thanks!

It would be considered below spec (clock speed), but how much it actually effects the game I couldn't say.

Hard to say, as you're scratching the minimum requirements. Your processor will perform a little bit worse in classic single threaded programs, but better in multi-threaded applications. My guess is, that the game doesn't take too much advantage of the multi-core, but I could be wrong.
Here is a comparison of the CPUs:

Anyway, considering games the weak spot of your system is probably the graphics chip, which is integrated in the CPU. So you should have at least 3 GB RAM to provide enough memory for both the system and the graphics chip. The good news, the minimum requirements for integrated laptop graphics chips is an Intel HD 3000, which is supposed to be weaker than yours. Here's a comparison:

My guess is, that it'll run, if you use a moderate resolution and deactivate some of the fancy graphic effects.
There are demo versions of most games from Triumph Studios, so there'll probably be one for Age of Wonders 3, too, which you could use to check if it's running on your system. But the demos are often released after the official game release date, so you'd have to be a bit patient to be sure.

You might be covered on account of your graphics card, though you might upgrade the ram.

The importance of processor is over-rated. It's not an RTS.

I am fairly sure you will be all right.
Only thing you can don't meet is processor and if it supports multithreading then you should meet that one as well. And even if it doesn'T then I think it should run for you.
