- Is read that some effects are disabled in windowed mode, is this correct ?

- And what does the direct3d option actually do ?
Should you use it or not (both works and looks the same) ?

- I play in windowed mode and scrolling with the cursor is hardly possible.
Is there any fix for this ?

Hey, I'm also new... so I'll tell you what I know about your Qs.

1- Don't know about playing in windowed mode.

2- D3d is for using your video card to get better graphics, if you have the hardware it will make the game look better.

3- See #1, but I play fullscreen & the scrolling works crappy unless I use the arrow keys.
