So my original CD copy installs, but completely refuses to start, just shuts down the screen and keeps running on the background pointlessly eating up memory. No fixes worked.

Tried the steam version, that one installs, plays the intro on a black screen about 1 sec, then freezes and becomes completely unresponsive. Have to shut it down from task manager, no fixes work.

Is the GoG version the same as on steam?

Running windows 7 btw.
