Hey there! Quick question - it looks like they improved the graphics engine for Shadow Magic. If I can run AoW1 on my netbook, does SM have the same system requirements, or should I try to dig up a demo? Thanks in advance!

Here are the requirements for Shadow magic listed on the games GOG download page.

Minimum system requirements: Windows XP or Windows Vista, 1 GHz Processor (1.4 GHz recommended), 256MB RAM (512 recommended), 3D graphics card compatible with DirectX 7 (compatible with DirectX 9 recommended), Mouse, Keyboard.

Thank you, saw those - I'm asking if they updated the graphics engine between the first and the third. I know I can run the first, and those are very generic system requirements.

Yes, there is a very big graphics update between Aow1 and SM. You can still run it on a pretty old graphics card as the game came out several years ago. I can curently run it on a geforce 7800, though I remember being able to run it on my previous setup which had a 4000 series I believe.
