If someone declares war on you, can you attack that player on the same turn or do you have to wait one turn just like the other player?

You're free to do whatever you want when that War declaration comes rolling in. The unknown/peace/neutrality/war etiquette rules are definitely tilted in favor of the person receiving the declaration, but that's because the person declaring war has usually been planning the stab in the back for a few turns.

The peace declaration (from war) is the same way, though you won't win any friends taking a last swipe at their armies and mines before accepting the peace offer at the end of the turn. I speak from experience. :)

I grabbed one of your village after you declared war, then thought, maybe I shouldn't have done that. :)
